'Surviving Child Loss'
by Warrior Moms
Warrior Moms' Amy Durham and Michele Davis guiding listeners through their grief journey
Every Warrior Moms' story is different, but one thing they share is the decision to live.
We wanted to write a book we wished was available when we needed it. We wanted to hear from moms who pushed through and found their smiles.
Grieve Like a Mother, Survive Like a Warrior is a powerful and moving collection of reflections and real-life experiences from fourteen mothers who have faced the unimaginable—and chose to face it together.
With honesty and compassion, they share what it means to live through the loss of a child, offering understanding, connection, and hard-earned wisdom discovered while trying to find a way back into the light from the darkened depths of their grief.
If you or someone you know is walking this path, this book was written for you—with open hearts and the hope that it will help you feel just a little less alone.

Amazing book. A must read for anyone grieving the loss of a child, and very insightful for friends and family hoping to support those who have suffered such a loss.
This book is a must-read for anyone who has lost a child, yes. But even if you haven't, it's such a good book to read. I don't think we are good at knowing how to be there with someone when they are grieving. We want to know what to do, and that's great, but sometimes what helps the most is knowing how they're feeling and understanding that just being by their side is enough. This book paints a portrait of what some of the grief can look like in the days following tragedy but also the years after it. It helps to not only see yourself as a grieving parent but also how your friend, brother, sister, or child may be dealing with the death of a loved one or friend. I recommend it for that reason alone.
Impactful. Helpful. Courageous. Love. Strength. Brave. Some words that come to mind as I read this book. These Mom’s are truly WARRIORS, and share their real, raw truths. I’ve gifted this book to several friends. Highly recommended.
It offers comfort to grieving parents, giving them hope and reminding them they’re not alone in their journey. It shows how moms can honor their children’s memory while learning to live again.
This book is a Godsend for anyone that has lost a child. Both heartbreaking and uplifting. The resources in this book give someone in this situation a please to turn to and the options available.
I could not put this book down. These Warrior Mom’s did an amazing job sharing their stories, heartache and the strength they found to move forward. While living a parents worst nightmare, their strength & courage is humbling.
This is an amazing collection of stories of pain and the strength these women have found after losing a child. Amazing mothers with deeply personal stories to share.

The loss of a child is the single most devastating loss for any parent to endure and navigate through. While we are not acquainted, we understand your loss and empathize with those feelings of shock, sadness, and desperation you are feeling.
We are Warrior Moms, a bereaved mothers group in the Atlanta area. We, too, have lost our precious children, to accidents, overdoses, sickness, and suicide. Some of us are months out from our losses while others are years and decades down the road. Regardless of how our children left this earth or the amount of time that has since passed, we all share a common bond of missing and grieving our children…everyday.
We have all stood, where you are standing right now, in your new “normal”, in that raw state of grief and confusion, trying to figure out how to ever survive the depth of this kind of loss.
We decided to share our stories of loss and how we have navigated this difficult journey of child loss. We hope to share the message that while you will never get over this type of loss, you will get through this. Cling tight to your child’s memory and one day, you will find that joy can coexist with grief.
