Cathy Semeria lost her daughter, Christina "Tini" Devon Semeria, in a tragic auto accident, killing four college students at UGA. Seeking the Lord in everything she does, Cathy knows her pain has a purpose and is passionate about giving others hope and not wasting her pain on this side of heaven. She works as an Executive Assistant with the National Christian Foundation and volunteers as a mentor to high school and college students at her church. She was an avid runner for over 35 years and is very proud that she finished the New York City Marathon in 3 hours 55 minutes. Cathy and her husband, Dave, have established Tini's Spark in the Dark Foundation and an annual 5K fundraiser to honor Tini's memory and help students in financial need. In addition to Tini, she has three grown children, Eric, Jessie (married to Daniel), and Nick (married to Rebecca), along with three grandchildren, Henry, Owen (identical twins), and George.

Writings
Tini wrote Be Still in July 2015 while serving as a Horse Wrangler on Young Life Summer Staff at Trail West in CO. “
“I tell the seas when to roar and mountains where to fall yet i still know you the hairs on your head the depths of your heart so be still my child and know that I am God
Cast your worries and doubts upon me for I hold your heart with me by your side you have nothing to fear take courage don't be afraid I am here so be still my child and know that I am God
Cast your worries and doubts upon me for I hold your heart so just let go of control trust in me let me be your cornerstone just let go of control trust in me let me be your cornerstone be still my child and know that I am God
Cast your worries and doubts upon me for I hold your heart”
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand- shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5: 14-16
